~H~ 08 Inversing fast key handle wires (passenger / driver)

Ok, this issue has been bothering me for months. I may have mentioned it here, but I will bring it up again. I drive my girlfriend around with the lancer, but every time I grab my handle I am never fast enough to unlock the door for my girlfriend on the passenger side. And since the car is just high enough to see her eyes, I always get that cold stare like I just clubbed a baby seal. And I am sick of it.

I went to the dealership and I was told that it cant be changed to unlock all door from the driver side. "its a safety feature" lol BS!!!! the navi system I have heard can allow for all door to be unlocked. The default setting is set up that opening from the passenger side unlocks all doors and the driver door only unlocks the driver door.

So my idea was to swap the wires between the passenger door and driver door. Anyone have any clue on how to do that? I am not the best at tracking down wires

Ah, it's nice to have Nav haha jk bro.

I would think that there is SOME way of fixing that though through the stereo or something like the nav does.

If you read the Service manual for our lancer, there's a setting to change that. Unfortunately, you need the MEDIC tool to access that parameter.
Markham and Scarborough Mitsu asked about $45'ish (30mins labor time) to program it to unlock all doors upon using FAST key entry

EDIT: Here's you go, list of available settings. If you can get a scan tool to edit it, let me know!!

there is a 20000 km / 12000miles adjustment period where they should not charge you for this. If it is a setting that can be adjusted free of charge. If you have problem with this let me know and I will talk to them. now I went to them within this period, I was told....

It cant be done
Its a safety feature

Now that I have this information i will take it up with my dealer, it will be interesting to see there response now

Thank you mikron15 I owe you.
