Did I get ripped on my 2009 GTS?

Black 2009 Lancer GTS.

With Sun & Sound
and Navigation

$24,000 out-the-door.

I feel as though I had no wiggle-room negotiating... did I get had?

Any additional packages such as traction control and xeon light?

No just the GTS with Sun & Sound and Navigation Tech.

No touring, no accessories.

Bad deal at $24k?

Since you paid that much for a regular lancer, you could've saved up a little more and most likely got an Evo X GSR in complete base trim for about $30k-$31k *Drive-Out*. I would've bought an Evo since it has so much more performance packed into it for the money you pay.

30-31 OTD? LOL I'm sure he would be looking at 33-34 which is about 10k more than what he paid for his GTS.

I love it when people say "you should have just bought a X." I'm sure if he had the 10k extra, or anyone else for that matter ... they would have.

It all depends upon the supply and demand of the area that you live in, limited supply with a high demand= paying a higher price for your vehicle.

Consider this though....2009 CVT with s/s and navi MSRP for 23,465 (Im sure you already know that though). so you did get the car for under the msrp if 24k was your otd price. to me getting had is paying msrp.

It also depends on how hard you make the chase for the dealer. Did you sign on the first time you came in? Always be willing to make the dealer wait, remember they are people too working for their commission; they sell, they get paid, no sale, no $$$.

So to me, no you did not get ripped. 24k otd is not a bad price for a brand new car with those features. as long as you are happy with your purchase, a thousand dollars or so will not make that much difference to you in the long run.

Try shopping for a X and you'll find out. The MSRP on my Evo IX MR SE was $37,424 + tt&l and I bought it for $35,200 *Drive-Out*. I bought it brand new with 8 miles on it. If I can save that much, then anything is possible. If you try shopping a variety of dealerships, you'll see how much money you can save on a X. {thumbup}........And plus, I didn't say he should have....I said he could've. Thanks.

If you can afford the payments and you like the car, who cares. Just enjoy it

yea i mean, u might have been able to get it OTD for 23k, but honestly its not a horrible deal. i paid like 21.5+ tax for mine but i thats with a 500 rebate and got it the manual so it was cheaper because of that too
