I had the same problem but I put washers under the strut bar and problem solved You get them washers through your local pepboys or home depot. Though I still like the RRM K strutbar but I'm content with my 30dollar strut bar.

return it. the only parts they have that are confirmed DO fit, is the rear lower tie bar, and the rear upper strut bar.

i mean shouldnt they first check to see that it does fit, but i guess they thought hmmmmm lets sell it for the hell of it.

 

I am having the same prob but my bar wasnt designed for the US Lancer to begin with. Im having a shop fit my EVO VIII tower bar for me. try a shop fabricates car parts

 

DUDE! the front strut bar from procarparts.com will NOT FIT OUR LANCER!! It will break that sensor, which costs a hundred bucks to replace. You will also loose the ability to drive the car with a good idle. I bought the bar and it cracked my sensor.

GO BUY THE ONE FROM RMR. Return the one ya got if possible.

Read my review and look at the pics. You wont wanna use it anymore or even try, trust me. It will give you a headache in the long run.
