I have driven an EVO V in Hong Kong about a year ago. All I can say it’s an awesome car. It’s my friend’s car, pretty much stock. I don’t really shift well with my left hand but at least I drove it for a good 20-30 mins on curvy roads. The brutal force of acceleration and the monster grip of the AWD still give me chills down my spine.

Yah I've driven a couple and been a passenger in a alot more. I love the RS models! I've even got a Evo6 repair manual in English on CD. Not sure why I have it but you never know! I'd like to see the US get the Evo right along with the newer Silvia's, Pulsar GTI-R's, Skyline GTR's and the older Skyline GTS-T and GTS-4's.
well, i got to ride in an evo IV
it belonged to a classmate (rich & spoiled) of my friend. i was visiting him in manila, and i saw the evo parked by the side, mean lookin' driver/chauffeur standing by it. pointed it out to my friend, and he said, "yeah, i know whose car that is." so anyways, he hooked me up and that's how i got to go for a ride in one.

I rode shotgun in a full Group-A Tarmac spec ex-Makinen Evo-IV when iw as in australia for five weeks on vacation. I dont think ive ever come that close to peeing my pants in glee. You really can not appreciate the true power of a WRC car untill youve been in one. My only complaint about the ride...i was in the co-drivers seat, and i could bairly see anything. But the old butt-dyno was fully operational, and i have yet to be in a car quite as fast as that Evo...and the sound...OMFG!!! THE SOUND!!! ALS sounds amazing in person, the sound of the transmision whining, the sound of the wastegate regulating the boost presure as the ALS kicks in, the grunts, the pops, the bangs... *drool* if you EVER have the oportunity to take a ride in a fully preped rally beast...i suggest you do it, you wont soon forget it.
