Is there a book that gives instructions on basic maintinence of an '03 lancer es? Like at Pep Boys or something?

 

I'm not sure if they would sell something like that, someone else will know. But in the mean time if you search around in the Lancer forums you will find a lot of useful information.

I've seen some on eBay as well

 

I work at autozone and we carry the haynes manuals. I looked in our computer system and can only find alldata. I couldn't find a haynes or chilton manual for any Lancer, starting with the mirages. Alldata works well and gives you updates on recalls and stuff, but isn't as convenient as a book you could have out in the garage with you.

Well that HOW TO on oil change was for the 4b11 and I have an '03 lancer. Is there something like that for my car? I really just need to know what tools I will need to bleed the oil and to take the filter off, the rest I can figure out. Thanks.

So do I need a new drain plug?

 

for the oil change im assuming, if its that bad than id get a new one.
