Dood....everybody has an experience with a dealer like that. You have a good right to be pissed, but fer real....it all has to do with what dealer you a) buy your car from b) take your car to for services
Everyone at some point in their life gets screwed over by a dealer, if it hasn't happened yet, then it will. If you don't like the service yer getting from a certain
dealership, then take it to a different one. Don't blame all of Mitsubishi for the crappy service you got at one dealership.

agreed with hooby. I've had nothin but trouble free assistance from my Mitsu dealership. Lucky I guess.....but I will say they don't seem as service oriented as the big 3 american companies do. but this was probably the case of some jackass parts manager not knowing how to do his job and he spoiled the whole company for one customer...shame

Join the (Burned by Mitsu.. Club) my dealer never faxed over the window sticker to my insurance so my insurance canceled my coverage!! I was driving without insurance for over a week because of my dealers f@#$ up....even after I told the dealer what happend they told me that they left the sticker in my car...B.S. They never did It took them almost a week to get the sticker faxed to the insurance..Ramsey Mitsubishi FUC#$D me big time.....I will never purchase another Mitsu or another car from the Ramsey Auto Group in New Jersey because of this....your not the only one...don't take it personally it seems Mitsu has no Idea what CONDITIONS OF CUSTOMER SATISFACTION ARE ALL ABOUT!! I could go into detail about my horror story but it would just take too long .... .....All i can say is "you are not alone.....

Sorry to read about that. It's true what Hooby said, everyone at one point in their lives will get hosed by a dealership. Most hardcore DSM guys won't let a mitsu tech touch their cars. I would read over your warranty very carefully and see if your broken part should be covered. If it is then, you have a legal right to sue them.

fault,..... I'm asssuming they have good reason for not warrenting the work..... If not you should go to another dealership explain the issue and have them issue a report to get you credited for the $700..... And don't type in all CAPS we understand that you are mad..... Call Mitsubishi directly ask for the warrenty department explain what happened (be honest) if you already did this, do it again,..... then tell us what they say

A few months before my eclipse's warranty expired there was a problem with the clutch or something, I believe the throw out bearing broke. Well, I had some mods on my car, and most dealers don't repair cars that have mods on them because they say it voids the warranty. Well I went to the Mitsu dealer near my house, they were more than happy to fix the throw out bearing, which would have cost me a bunch because you'd have to drop the tranny and open it. They car was there for about 2 days and it's been fine ever since. Now I didn't have the same experience with my mom's Diamante. Its a 99, and 4 months after we bought it the car's audio system went bad. The CD changer worked but the it won't play tapes. So we took it to a dealer, dealer moaned and whined about it and finally after my mom yelled at their asses, they said ok, bring it in next week. We bring it in next week and they tell me that they have to order parts. Ok I come back next week, they gave her some sorry excuse about how the parts have been delayed. Now its been over 2 years and my mom's car's audio system hasn't been fixed.
I have a similar story but not quite as bad since they didn't make me pay anything. It all started the last weekend of my spring break when I finally found a car, the Lancer, and bought it. It was the only Oz on the lot and it had some scratches on it, so the salesman told me to bring it in the next day and they would fix them when they detailed it. So I said ok and I signed all the papers, which proved to be a big mistake. I came back the next day and the salesman barely even acknowledged my presence, but I ended up showing him and another salesman the scratches and they said the guy to do them wouldn't be in until tuesday(this was a saturday), and went and put the nail polish touch up paint on, which was a different color and turned into a bubble and started to chip. I told him I had to go back to school sunday and he said I could get it fixed up there, so I said ok, no big deal as long as it gets fixed. So I come up here to Tallahassee mitsubishi and they promptly tell me they won't do it, and I have to take it back home, to west palm mitsubishi. So now I'm a little frustrated because I'll have to wait three weeks to get the scratches fixed. Cut to three weeks later I bring my car home and I start the phone calls on a monday, finally on a thursday when I just ask to speak to a salesman and don't say anything about getting the scrathes fixed they talk to me and tell me to bring it in, so I did and I told them about this one big thing on the spoiler, which is kind of hard to describe but the paint looked like burnt melted cheese, and some other little scrathes on the trunk, and he says no problem it will be fixed by five, come five he says he'll have to get a brand new spoiler put on and I'll have to wait until friday, so I say no big deal and hey great a new spoiler. I come back friday and the spoiler is on, but none of the other scratches are fixed and I tell the guy and he says oh we haven't done that yet besides we have to repaint the spoiler(something they never did), and he tells me to come back in an hour or so, so I come back not done the receptionist tells me the guy is gone for the day which was horse**** since as we were leaving I saw him giving some guys the keys to a montero so he could test drive it. Well this basically happens for a couple more days in which nothing gets done, and many phone calls ensued, including one where the guy even tryies to tell me that I didn't buy the car like this. Finally I tell them I have to go back to school and I need my car back and they say oh, we have to repaint the trunk, and I'll have it back tuesday morning, which is the day I had to leave I call in the morning still not done, I call a couple more times until finally at around six o' clock the car is done and I pick it up, and finally the scratches are gone. I get in my car and find it has white dust all over it, the air conditioner is on max and on 4, and that my gear shifter knob is turned sideways, I also think I was missing ten dollars but I'm not sure about that. I think nice detail job they did on it but I need my car and I drive off, on my way home I stop by my friends house to complain to him how long it took, when while noticing how the spoiler looks a little off color, he notices two more scratches this time on the rear panel of the passenger side, they had tried to cover them up with touch up paint but they were still scratches, this was the last straw I needed some alcohol and therefore missed all my classes the next day. I also found that there was yellow paint on one of the wheels, not tire but wheele.
This may not seem like much, since they are only scratches but it's the principal of the fact, I don't care about the scratches that much myself, but it was obvious they were giving me the runaround. Some other things they did: The salesman told me that the car was all-wheel drive. I guess I should have done more research on this car before I went in and drove it. I figured it was pretty much the same as the evolution but just dummied down a bit so when he said it was all wheel drive I believed it. The fact that it was all wheel drive was one of the reasons why I bought this car instead of the ser v-spec. He also told me that he would give me the the full extended warranty, but when we stepped into the finance office the guy said we were paying for it, and when we asked the salesman he said "I already did all the paperwork" it was at this point that he had us, we had already signed.
Well it may not be the best of stories but I had to tell someone about it, and also I need to say: " Don't ever buy a car from West Palm Mitsubishi. "
