I went into Autozone to buy one of those air filter cleaning kits and the guy hands me a K&N kit. Just to double check I asked him if he was sure that was what I needed. Some other guy in the back asked what kind of air filter I owned and I told him I had an Injen SRI. He told me that that was a cheap unknown brand and that the K&N cleaning kit wouldn't work because both companies use different chemicals??? Is this true, because I haven't cleaned my filter yet (I know thats VERY bad) and Im trying to knock it out today.

 

In have used the k-n in other brand filters. Both for some unknown that I doubt autozone knows, there may be a conflict. But above all else be careful not to over lube the filter. Thats all I got.

 

I wouldn't expect for a guy from autozone to know what injen was

 

so would you guys say that it is okay for me to use the K&N cleaner to clean my injen filter?
