'06 lancer es caliper torque specs/service manual request - does anyone know?

Hi everyone,

I'll be changing the brake pads & bleeding the brakes on an 06 lancer es and just wanting to ask what the torque specs are for the following:

1) the drain bolt on the calipers

2) the bolt(s) that will need to be loosened inorder to swing open the caliper and allow me to remove/replace the brake pads

3) any other torque specs related to the calipers

Related to the above, I'm just wondering if anyone has an electronic copy of the service manual/knows where I can obtain one for the car (an '06 es)? A quick search on the forums led me to a few dead links, some ebay links, and people suggesting going to the dealer. Oh, and as far as torrenting files go I've only noticed there being service manuals posted for the '08 lancer.

Finally, can anyone tell me how much brake fluid is required when bleeding/refilling?

Thanks so much in advance!

Hey thanks for the reply. I'm not too concerned about being able to take off the parts (that's what breaker bars are for ^^), what I'm concerned about is how tightly everything needs to be torqued when put back on - I'm concerned that either overtightening the calipers or not tightening them enough might be kinda iffy.

To any and all moderators,

would it be possible to have this thread moved to the "Lancer Tires, Wheels, Brakes & Suspension - Sponsored by The Tire Rack" section, which is located under the broader "Lancer (ES, LS, OZ) 2002-2007 Forums" section?

Thanks

1. snug, doesn't have to be very tight.
2. slide bolts where calipers attach to the caliper bracket.
3. top slide bolt = 63 ft/lbs, lower slide bolt 37 ft/lbs

You had a thread in that forum but it got zero responses. I assumed you would rather have the thread that actually had people answering your question. I can move it if you like though.

Fair enough, I think I'll pass on moving this thread since I've managed to find the info I need.
