wow thats crazy. i've never heard of that but that makes sense as to how it all happened. i guess you're getting a new engine for it instead of getting a new car?

I'm a licensed insurance agent, I was going to be surprised if they decided not to cover you for a new engine due to the circumstances. GL give us another update when you pick it up!

too bad you can't get your insurance to pay for forged internals and a bypass valve for the CAI and all sort of other goodies for the car lol

So is it a brand new engine? or used or re certified something like that? I don't work in claims so I have no idea what would be standard to issue.

the motor my insurance covers has 30K miles on it.
if i wanted a brand new one i would have to pay 50% of the total cost.
which at this point is a little over 5K.

A $10,000 motor? I highly doubt that.
I was on alldata and saw that an OEM replacement would be $2,500 or $3,500 can't remember which one it was.

yeah something like this happened to a boy I knew in school except he had a hole in the crank case his main bearings were cracked and so was his crankshaft. Then when we were in shop taking out the motor and i loosen up the crank case and what do i find....... 2 piston heads and 2 parts of his crank. THis thing was a pain in the neck to fix but we got it done. He was in a jeep liberty so you know he had to like plow into a lake or something.
