Anyone ever join the online chat in here? I just found it and it seemed to work pretty well. Noone was in there though.

I would like to talk in real time to other EVO enthusiasts. I have joined a MIRC chatroom that was created for the MLR(Lancer Register). A few good chaps from Europe frequent it. I have had some excellent and insightful conversations. I tell you, those guys across the pond know their stuff. If the chatroom here doesn't work out so well, we should check out mIRC. It is an easy to use, real time chat program. I use it alot for other things.

Also, if you haven't read this Japanese pdf file(in English) about the Evo VII, you should! Goes for some great reading.

I printed the thing out and read it in its entirety. Keep in mind this is info on the Japanese version, not necessarily the US one.

I think chatting in the chat room would be great, except when you want to refrence back to something someone said a week ago, there is no record. I do, however, think the chat room would be a great place to have scheduled chats. i.e. from 4-6 have a US lancer chat and from 6-8 have a Evo chat or sometimes have scheduled guests to answer some questions or something. just some ideas hehe

 

Only problem with that idea is different time zones. My 6pm might be someone elses 8pm.

I just think people should try to start visiting it when they can.

I was logged into it for about an hour while I was surfing the net, just waiting to see if anyone would join, and noone did.

Best way to chat is to set a specific date and time... maybe make it a weekly thing at a certain time so it becomes a regular thing. As we get bigger I will also try and have different vendors and racers, etc come in and chat with everyone.

Mark: maybe you could add something to the main (lancer forums|online community page) that says the # of people currently in the chatroom. I think more people would check it out.
