I need a resinator?

I bought a 2009 GTS and as soon as i got it i put a custom exhaust on it...It is straight pipe from the cat back and 2 and a half inch pipe. the company took out the resinator also. i noticed a low end power drop...i didnt know what the problem was until i got my car looked at by a proffesional and he said if i put back in a resinator and drop the size of my piping i would see a enormous gain in low end power. Where can i get a good resinator and how much am i looking price wise?

all a resonator does is it filters out the high pitch notes from your exhaust (especially the straight through ones) and make it somewhat quieter.

To gain backpressure, it would depend on the piping size. You sacrifice low end power for high end power. Pick one

^Bingo, you drive a 2.4 L NA four-cylinder, low-end does not apply.

depends on if you want to begin modding for a low end or high end. Its entirely up to you. Or if you simple just want to quiet your exhaust

a lot of local guys call it a "resig-nator", really burns me up

and on topic, my resonator has sound deadening that gives the pipe a slightly narrower i-d in that section, might have noticed a very minimal difference with low end power but it could be my imagination.

How much does it matter to you with all the weight you're packing? You've got 20" rims and tires, 2 12" woofers, big aise amp, etc.

You might want to get a tune now that you've opened the breathing a bit. You're a bit more limited with what you have though. I'm not knocking on the car or the addition of a better system, btw. I added a 12", but I also cut some weight to offset. Best of luck.

Do you have a target for what you want to attain? How heavily modified are you thinking of going, and how much money are you looking to spend? How long do you plan on having the car?

Eh I'm not sure about that yet... Has anyone maxed out/popped the 4b12 yet?
