need help with exaust questions
ok i plan to get a RMR intake along with a new exaust, i plan to get two carsound 2.25 hight flow catalytic conveters, 2.25 pipe and heres the thing my friend is going to give me his magna flows but takes a 3 inch pipe, so heres my question is there an adapter for this and if so will i still get back pressure? is this a bad set up?
someone correct me if im wrong, but 3 inch piping is usually used for turbo setups. us NA people usually use just 2.25 or 2.5 piping. im not an 'engine tech' but i do believe that you will lose some low-end power because of the back pressure lost..
no, it will be fine he says he's getting a 2.25" exhaust all the way till the high flow which he will make an adapter to fit to the 3 inch then out the other end as 2.25" again. So its perfectly fine to me.
ie:
===2.25"===[HIGH FLOW]====[Muffler]==[TIP]
^3"inch adapter
lol something like that

yea man go to a muffler shop, they'll weld, probably better than a makeshift adapter, won't be expensive either, setup looks fine
p.s. i don't even think its wise for a turboed lancer to go 3", no one is really pushing high enough horsepower to make any worthy gains, except maybe boe.
