Clockspring Difference?

My friend's clockspring broke when he was de-assembling his steering wheel. Fortunately, I didnt have that issue when I did mine. Anyways, We were wondering if all clocksprings EVO-ES-OZ clocksprings are the same? I did searched, but another dude told me that EVO-ES clocksprings dont have the connection for the cruise control. Is that true? He wants the Cruise control connection.

BTW he has a 03' Lancer OZ and we needed to know the correct info before we hunt for parts in the salvage yards.

The result that i looked at.

CLIFFS: Needs to know if clocksprings ES clockpsprings (02-03) are same as OZ. Searched, but got conflicting answers from another dude.

i suggest you just go to mitsubishiparts.net ORRRRR

http://www.trademotion.com/partlocat...?siteid=213714

they seem to have EVERY part you would need to build your entire car from scratch. Plus you will be able to cross reference the part numbers to see if they are the same for different years and models.

I looked at the site. It looks like clockspring does have diferences. Obviously the EVO and ES models dont have Cruise Control, i would imagine that the cruise control port in the clockspring would be blocked off. Looks like we have to look for the clockspring that has a cruise control.

My friend is looking for a clockspring w/ cruise control function. I believe EVO clocksprings dont' have one. Thanks for the offer though.
