Sorry been gone so long, Im trying to get ready for the idrc finals in Palmdale Ca. Anyways, it works great!! there has been no problems on it so far and I've been commuting on it for a week now. It is an OBX pulley ordered from tuning depot.com. It cost me around $70.00 shipped to me. As for the belts, go to your local auto parts storfe and get the belts for the 97-00 mirage "1.5" liter, and they fit perfect. As for power, they say "10-15 HP increase, but its more like a solid 5HP. but it feels good as far as response and it shifts alot smoother. Not like it has anything to do w/ the tranny or clutch, but it just feels like it stays in range alot more now, and it RPMS dont drop as fast. So final word: DO IT

Well the install was fairly simple, just take off all the plastic protective stuff under the car and by the crank. Then loosen the tensioner for the ac and ps pump, next is to loosen up the altenator so that the belts are able to come off. If you have a 5 spd. take off the 2 10mm bolts that hold the flywheel cover on and place a flat head screw driver inbetween the teeth of the flywheel and between the block so that the motor does not turn when you turn the crank. Next thing is to get a BIG breaker bar or torque wrench to loosen up the crank bolt. Take it off and put the new one on. You might need to spray WD40 or some sort of lubricant to help w/ the loosing of the crank bolt, and when you put the new one back on put some sort of engine assembly lube or bearing grease to help it go on smoothly and completly on. The rest is the reversal of removal. Its pretty simple and can be done w/ basic tools and a BIG breaker bar. AS far as the part numbers go, the OBX pulley # is P2002, and the alt. belt number is DAYCO POLY COG #5040285. I threw away the ps, and ac belyt box so I dont have those numbers now but I will respond later when I get them.

a larger crank pulley causes the other pulleys to spin faster, wouldnt this cause the alternator and water pump to work at a defferent rate? wouldnt this be bad?

You want smaller on the crank, every time the motor turns over it will turn the alternater, water pump, A/C and power steering less. Thus reducing drag on the motor. Not bad, but don't put in a big stereo or you'll end up with a dead battery.
