Looking for an 99' Evo VI
Hi guys I'm new to the board. I've been really looking around at a lot of cars lately as I'm planning on buying one soon. The 99' Evo VI really caught my eye. I live here in the US. Where could I get one of these? How much? And parts and service? Would my local Mitsu dealer provider service for any potential problems? I would appreciate some feedback. Thanks guys!
Isn't it?
Welcome to Evolution Imports. We are a US importer of the Mitsubishi Lancer Evo 4, 5, 6, and 7. What makes us different from all the others is that we are taking the next step and legalizing them to be sold and registered for use on American roads!
There are numerous sources in the US that Sell the EVO, however, they are not street legal. Most of them are race car, or not registered at all. An EVO VI usually costs around $25,000 to $30,000 (stock) without any modification to "legalize" it or and mod for racing purposes.
Mitsu dealership will certainly service your car, however, they have less knowledge then some of the race team and shops like TAD motorsports, RRE, Vermont motorcars (they have worked on EVOs).
Anyhow, the Evoluation Import is not finalizing the deal yet, so keep checking.

It really depends on which type of vehicle you're going to convert. Of course, the more "work" involved, the more it'll cost. The last time I call an RI in Houston. They give me a feedback like "it's not cost effective for you to do such coversion. You'll end up costing more than your car." (I paraphased)
To give you some idea. An used Skyline GTR costs around $20K - $25K overseas (depends on conditions) and it's sold for over $32K by Motorex.
