Hey, we get rain sometime! The whole point of the car is to have it for trips to Tahoe, Big Bear, and Yosemite. Then again...no snow at those places either. It's got 4WD which is what we sought after. Camping+mountain biking+jet skiing(Big Bear)=fun.

In the snow you actualy want to have the ability to lock the front wheels up (helps the tires reach pavement, and builds a wall of snow infront of the tires to help slow the car). I am so glad the OZ doesn't have ABS. Anti-Lock Braking Systems are like air bags. If you where your seat belt you don't need an air bag (no air bags in racing cars). If you know how to brake (and when not to brake), you don't need ABS.

I had the option for ABS on my 2003 OZ lancer.. I declined it though and they gave me 500$ off the price.

B_Tapper is now Brian V2.0, FYI.

I don't have ABS and in many situations, I'm glad I didn't, my brakes locking up and helping deccerate from 90-0 because of highway traffic has helped out. So what if it locked up, I didn't slide into the car infront of me and before I braked that had I slid further than I wanted, I would've pulled up beside that car. Thanks to left shoulders.

For those guys who don't believe in ABS, it's usually good for bigger cars that can accelerate very fast. Look at the Vette.

I had the pleasure of sitting in my friends' 1g DSM w/ a 20g TC and AWD. His car sped so fast and harder than any stock V8 whiplash that I had ever experienced. His ABS stopped his car fast and smoothly, even in light rain. Several times, I thought he would lose control, but a quick stab of the brakes smoothed the car transitioning through kinks/apexes on the road.

Okay, just to correct this kids statement. Both GUYS and girls who are unexperienced drivers may have problems with braking correctly. . . .there is no need to blame it just on the girls Thank you!!!!!!!!
