We need a new airfilter, but I kind of wanted a K&N (or whatever I can get) that will be better then the stock paper. The local store here wants $75 for the K&N. Anywhere I can get a good deal. And no, I'm not looking for a CAI, unless it's way cheap, works and is easy to install/remove.

Your local store wants 75 bucks for the K&N filter?!? Holy Jebus... for just a few more bucks you could get a Short Ram Intake from RRM and tha comes with a K&N cone filter...

I would say screw the 75 buck drop in filter and just go SRI from RRM like I did... you will not regret it...

I believe RMR carries a K&N panel filter for $50. Can't hurt to give them a call. Keep in mind these should be washable, so they will last as long as your Lancer.

You could go on ebay and get a SRI for about $27 plus s&h, I got one from MAKO Auto Trends for $48 after s&h, installed myself and it gave the engine a real good sound.
