acording to yahoo there aren't any recalls on the lancer (I use the Auto part of yahoo to keep track of mileage/oil/etc) at the bottom it lists the recalls... says there aren't any.

Here is a site I like for tracking recalls:

http://www.safetyalerts.com/rcls/cat...utosub/m-n.htm

You can track recalls for ALL brands here and it's updated quite frequently.

I think the NHTSA site (www.nhtsa.gov) also lists technical service bulletins (TSBs). These are problems out there but not bad enough for a recall. If you know about them before getting some work done, it can help with who pays!!!!

LOL i love that word. Anyhow, if there were any recalls which there arent, Mitsu would have to send you a ppr telling you to bring it in (if its serious enough) I got one for my avenger...something about balljoints..bad...replace...whatever.

It is true that they have to send you a notice on a recall, but they do not have to do anything about TSBs. I recommend you check before going to the dealer for a problem to see if a TSB is out on the area you are having trouble with.
