What sold you??
Hey guys....I was just wondering everyone's favorite part of their USDM lancer. here's mine in order number 1 being my favorite.
1. Interior-I think the interior is what actually sold me on the lancer. in the dealership they had a yellow lancer with black and yellow custom interior. all i can say is it was HOT but i didn't want yellow. so i got silver hehe.
2. Exterior-I had been shopping for cars for about a month before buying the lancer, looking into the new land rover, Bimmers(too expensive for me) and lexus(also too expensive) So i decided to take a look at the
dealership and there it was, one of the most good looking (except the grill) and original cars i have ever seen. I was in love.
3. PRICE-This was a HUGE factor in buying my car, as soon as i saw the price tag i bought it. lol
Now i wanna know what sold you guys about the lancer.

I was really thinking abou tgetting the 2002 2.5RS..about 18k i think it was or something... then i saw the commercial on tv for all mitsubishi cars... 0 Down, 0 Interest, and 0 Payments until 2003 (this was in mid feb '02) .. i had 5 more payments on my motorocycle of $400 a mo. so i couldn't afford the RS at the time, and then i thought well hell, i could wait 5 or 6months to get a car and have the AWD RS, or i can go down to the dealership right now and get the lancer. So i compared the two, and i decided for the price difference they were about the same (without AWD ofcourse). the only thing left to do was to go drive one and feel what its like to own it. and around here they throw you the keys to any car and let you take it off the lot.... alone. and i liked it. signed the paper work and drove it home the next day.
the end.
the end.
hope no one picks the engine ehhhh. Well the engine is pretty good for ketting up those hill and rally racing. The engine is better than all those others out there that have no tource (damn i forgot how to spell that word, whatever its spell phoneticly)(is that spelled right also)
I got my Lancer because of a few things. I first saw it and i liked the Black OZ Rally. I imagined it with all tinted windows, 18 in rims, and lowered a little. Im 19 right now so with my job the price fit also since parents wouldnt even co-sign.
But now i love my car and soon it should be somewhat fast due to a little help from rrm.
So exterior and price sold me.

it's nice to see another person who has limited funds as i do. I was worried for a while cuz it seems like everyone here has money growing in their backyards. Especially those who are ordering/have evolutions.
We used to have Lancers back in the Philippines and I loved them. When I moved to NYC, I noticed that they didnt have the Lancer here.
I was going to purchase the Civic but I thought everybody and their mothers had one. Then they came out with the Lancer, so I bought it. In conclusion, what sold me is...the name Lancer, price, and interior/exterior.

My dads friend owns a Mitsubishi Dealership and i got any
for cost so I picked the lancer. It was cheap and I got it fully loaded.
EDIT: I was also 16 and didnt have my license yet....and he let me take one out alone and test drive it. I had previously drove my sisters civic and didnt like it. The lancer drove nice, came with leather, cd player, power everything, 4 doors, spoiler, oz trim, decent rims, all for under 20k? How can you beat that.

Kaymo...i believe u are tryin' to say torque? ( i think that's how u spell it)..anyways as far as what sold me to the lancer....
I was really into the new Nissan Sentra SE-R Spec V, the car being a great bang for the buck. Soon after the release of the SE-R the Lancer came along. The juicy exterior immediately got a hold of my brain and then I found myself purchasing a Lancer in the nearest
dealer.
So to make a long story short... exterior/interior/engine(its gots plenty of potential, i think)
