electric fan

i was wondering if it was possible to fit an electric fan from http://www.flex-a-lite.com onto my lancer. i dont like how there is only a fan on one half of the radiator

why would you want more fan in there?

Dude ur car is not a PC.. lol more fans wont give u any difference

im not trynna be an @$$ to you but... im sure there are plenty of other aftermarket things u could buy for that money for better looks or performance then those fans.. but thass Just my 2 cents 2 each is own.. knock ur self out!

I have no temperature problems with just the stock fan working. Actually, it really doesn't come on unless I'm in traffic with the AC on. I guess you might find it useful if you're running a turbo, but even then I don't know anyone who has had problems with just the single fan.

I could understand sliding in some slimline fans if you have a large turbo installed on the car or for some ungodly reason you've decided to use the car as a towing platform. If you're suffering from overheating, check your coolant levels, radiator hoses and thermostat.

EDIT: Apparently urban hacked my brain's thought center and stole my thought considering he only posted SECONDS probably before me...

well.... maybe its cause my oz only has about 3500 miles on it, but whenever i am done driving it and i get out, it smells almost as if something were burning, maybe its just the brakes cause i am not too hard on them and they arent "worn in"

that, or maybe you haven't gotten used to the clutch yet...is it your first stick car? most people burn their clutch for a while bfore they get totally used to it...esp if its yer first car

That burning nasty smell should pass with a little more time. I had it too until about 7000 miles. The service department told me it was the engine cleaner that they spray on before you take delivery of the vehicle.

It cooks off slowly, and stinks something awful, but you really want it hot so it cooks faster.

Be careful what you wish for. Your just might get it.

I believe airlinevomitbag did a pair of flex-a-lites on his car in preparation for turbocharging. I agree that I doubt you need them though.

btw... i was wrong the car does have 2 fans... and thanks for the info on the engine cleaner stuff that they put on it.
