ah what a shame...you coulda just gone to evolutionimports.com and bought the jdm evo 7 for $35,000... woulda saved some time and you'd have a killer, extremely rare ride. i'd do that over buying an evo 8. well i'd take either one considering i drive an oz..hah. good luck with the conversion though, if all goes well it'll be sweet.

 

i thought evolutionimports is a waste.. they leave your car in customs and tell you you have to figure out how to get it from there..

fmic will be sweet..i totally agree and i will have one. but i bought the smic b/c of how much money was left and for sure any intercooler is better than no intercooler.

 

oh and about buying imports and bringing them over here. you can get evo 7s for like 20 grand. then around 10grand for importation fee. i've heard great things about this webpage.

I don't think this will ever be a "sleeper". My understanding is a sleeper is a car that looks slow but goes fast. In this case, it will always look faster than it really goes. But hey, you will turn many more heads that way.

 

i don't understand why evo owners are hating on people trying to make their lancers as close to an evo as they can. i think it's cool because they make the best of what they have. some of us could have got the evo but would never be able to afford insurance.(me for example) I don't need my insurance company knowing my cars are fast.

 

the only thing i really hate is when people pose as something they aren't

like putting evo badges on, this really gives bad names to people who really own them, unless you are just as fast or faster then a evo and same with handling and braking

i completely agree with the argument sjl6102 makes about evo owners "hating" on others trying to make their cars as "evo" as possible...the last time i checked the evo is actually based on the lancer. for me, at least, i can't afford an evo, being that i'm still in high school and if i could then i would obviously have one. someone who buys a lancer and wants to make it look like an evo is just doing the best they can to make their car what they wish it could be. hell, after i pay off my car i'd love to kit it out and make some mods to it that parallel an evo, since the evo's definitely my dream car. so whatever, i give props to anyone who hooks their car up without caring what everyone else thinks...keep up the evo 7 conversion it'll look sweet in the end...peace

 

dont make ur car like an evo.... just make it one bad *** lancer. u would get props from ppl other than ppl telling u dont even bother with the whole conversion
