It's Greddy's piggyback system. Ironic that some of us already are using these and didn't see the point in the reflash seeing as how the static nature of the reflash doesn't let you retune if you go to a stage 2 turbo setup, for example.

How much did the dyno flash cost? The cheapest reflash price I've ever seen is $495 for a WRX, so I thought $560 was a pretty decent price, and I believed Rob when he said that most of that money goes to the programmer.

what you dont see is the fact that RRM isnt reflashing them they have a company that has them over a barrel and is charging them up the *** for reflashes. Now they created the map and perfected it, if you get more HP i would be supprised.

Also, this e-manage is just for turbo setups, right? It doesn't explain why he would stop selling it for NA Lancers.

I don't remamber the price exactly, but I know it was considerably less than RRM and the fee you payed was the Shipping and thats it. There is a Jet dealer in Fort Worth, and It might be a couple of HP difference (2-3) but for the $ its alot better deal. If you wanted RRM to reflash to your specs you would have to pay the $5?? again. I also know that RRM is a sponsor (vendor) of evolutionm.net but the facts still remain. I'm not trying to diss them but they ARE overcharging the evom users.

unfortunately, it would cost me a lot more than $500 to fly to Fort Worth and search all over a major city trying to find this place, since nobody seems to know how to contact them or order their product. Part of marketing is making your product available. I wanted my engine remapped because it bogged like crap in the hairpins at autocross races. JET wasn't around and the only option I could find ANYWHERE was RRM, so I went with what I could find.

Sorry, just to clarify, I do think that $500 is a lot, but hey in the racing world you want the edge over the competition, and some people pay thousands of dollars to get a carbon fiber seat just to save 10 pounds. So you know, I guess if JET got their name out there they would see more sales over RRM, or maybe they would get abig head and charge $550 too. You never know.

Jet is avalible online and in DFW at Speedtek. Also they are in JC Whitney. They have been around alot longer than RRM and have made a name for themselves ask any local performance shop.

Cool, thanks for posting the link. Although they don't really list anything for the Lancer. But the "Mitsubishi non-turbo all" lists for $239

I'm not trying to support Jet but I'm trying to let everyone know that there are other options out there, and that you don't always have to pay top $ for the best. Just Look at the competion before you buy a name.
I'm sure that there are other companies out there that do a better job than Jet and charge less. The $ could make a difference on your next modification in whether you get it or not.
