.. i think the blue one is for only jet skis and water stuff..the yellow top is the best battery if u have like bass and stuff...the red top is one lower than the yellow top..so my suggestion is the yellow top..

The red top is actually better overall. Yellow top is better for thumping stereo stuff.

If you don't think a yellow top can't be killed, think again. When I took it out of my RIP mirage and dropped into my 240. I didn't know at the time that my alternator was bad. Didn't take too long before it would't hold any charge.

maybe the red top is better...but from my experience the yellow top has nevered failed me...i left the lights on overnight and the morning i started no problem and i also drove with a messed up alternator for about 30 mins and it got me home ok....so i like maybe the red top IS better.......

By no means that I'm implying that a red top can't be killed also.

Yellow top is just better cycling charges like from thumping stereo w/ big amps.

I found out the hard way killing a yellow top. I recharged it on a dry cell charger (NAPA sells one) 6 times (at the time, didn't know the alternator was bad). After the 6th charge, the meter wouldn't move. To prevent another killing of optima, I pulled the alternator and check its rating . . . DOA.

Since I had the warranty paper for the yellow top, I upgraded to red top and bought a new alternator.

That's good to know. I don't plan on running a big stereo, and red matches my car's color scheme anyway
