Kiss the EVO goodbye
the lancer is based of the criseda-i didnt spell that right. anyway from what im told that since it the same shell as long as they sell ther 25,000 units ther in-evo lancer is just a special edition of this car..OK subaru makes ther base cars and wrxs which sells them 25,000 or better but they use there 22b in the races which I THINK(not sure) that they only produce 1000 of...
i was thinking that it was WRX-22B-RALLYCAR-since the 22b is the beefed up version they base the rally car apon that, having to produce X amont of units a year to meet WRC regulations! I dont remember, your probley right..I thought i read that they up to 1000units instead of 400 so that the factory and indepent teams will have enough cars as well as a few street models.. It could have been something that they planed on doing but didnt follow though or i might have read it wrong..**** i dont remember.
WRC grp N and grp A regulations state production of 2500 units, not 25000.
But the Evo5 and 6 had more than 2500 units produced due to demand. These companies are working for a profit too. www.rallycars.com for more information.
Subaru does not need to produce 2500 units of the Impreza because Subaru conforms to WRC rules and not grp N and A.
That's why the WRC impreza is FMIC and the street Imprezas are all TMIC.
