How many ponies?
its way more than 3g's man.
4g's for the turbo, lets say..2g's for other things like headers/exhaust/t.b. etc etc
thats 6g's to go from 17 seconds to 14 seconds, or low 13's if u got it all hooked up right

As for prices
Cams: you'll need to call vision imports but for a stage 2 youll need stronger valve springs, fuel pressure regulator and a SAFC to run it. It may sound like a lot but its really not that hard to get running right, but I would recommend a shop put the springs in. However a stage 1 cam does not need anything else to run right.
Price estimated at $300-$400
EGT: $120 up to really expensive. I bought my Greddy 52mm EGT for $145 new. Not that hard to put in, tons of insight all over the internet.
SAFC: $340 - $400 since the SAFC II came out you can pick up a SAFC I for $250 on ebay and theres not too many changes. Unless your good with spliceing/soldering wires, might want to let a shop put it in. And not difficult to tune. I'm sure a lot of people would be happy to walk you through it, I would no problem.
Wide Band O2 sensor: I've seen prices around $400, a really valuable tuning tool, another job you might want a shop to do. I dont know how difficult it is since I've never seen one get put in. This with a EGT might be to best way to tune without a dyno IMO.
There you go you could get out as little as $670, and IMO this is the best route to go if you dont want to TC it or pull out the bottom end. Cant say how much power will be gained, its up to whos tuning the car.
dont give this guy wrong information, it has been said over time and time again that an SAFC WILL NOT work with the lancer, you need some kind of full standalone or piggyback (i suggest aem ems or greddy e-manage) as far as tuning the turbo from rrm, why? you dont have to tune it? not unless your going with real big PSI
I have S-AFC and turbo and it doesnt do **** when you try to tune it i even got an wbo2 sensor that hooks up to my exhaust... still can tune it for ****.. im gonna scrap the afc and buy the piggyback and hopefully it will fix my problem

AFC's don't work on the lancer. People keep trying and saying they will but they won't. ECU doesn't see the positive numbers so AFC will only take out the fuel not add. Although RRM has said this many times people keep trying not knowing that the ecu is setup for NA not Turbo thus the AFC is not designed for its parameters. Why do you think RRM doesn't sell them?? Why do you think they sell the piggy backs? AFC's are great when dealing with an ecu that is compatable. Sell the AFC and get the piggy back. Piggy back is more accurately tuned anyway for not much more than most AFC's. [\quote]

probably best to get rrm ecu, but its not totally true that a safc does not work. if that were true, my car wouldn't be running. if the ecu only sees negative numbers and not positive, a upgraded fuel system designed to flow more fuel than stock would need negative numbers and not positive. this is in terms for a NA app, of course.
...but then again, positive numbers work on my setup also...
