Best Brakes???
I've been using some australian 2-piece rotors, by a fine company named DBA at
http://www.dba.com.au/
and they've held up quite well even after several track sessions. Going by the temp paint on the outside edge, I and another user have gotten them very hot (+600 degrees celcius, or farenheit, I can't remember which), and they haven't warped yet. They are not that cheap, but not that expensive either, depending on your location.

Brembos 4-pot paired with Project Mu's HC-Titan Kai are great, but can't stand too much abuse on the track (a tad of fade and sponginess but the latter must be due to the brake lines).
AP's 6-pot is the way to go, if "best" means "cost no object" as well.
I *heard* that Wilwood's stopping power may be good, but it won't last long.
For street use, even a 2-pot will do. Why would anyone need such strong brakes on the streets anyway?
3171 - Yo I've seen several dBA's at Espace before, MAYBE they have them.

GDB,
Running the stock calipers with Endless rotors now, not bad on the track, better than stock. However, I have been advised that these will warp. will worry about that when it happens.
how's the car? hope everything is in order now

That's what I keep sayingI actually need brakes though...it's amazing how much they fade after 2 laps on the track. Guess getting subaru 4pots, wrx front rotors, and h6 rotors in the rear will help my car out.
3171 - Which Endless rotors are you using, if you don't mind me asking? The one with 6 slits?
Your stock calipers are Brembos, 4-pot in front 2-pot in the back, right?
My car is fine now thank you very much
Still need more mileage though before I have full confidence attacking it around the track again.

Okay, here's my question... I've looked all over for brake upgrades for my Lancer... Nothing major, just something with more bite and longer life. So far all I've seen are the Carbon/Kevlar pads. Has anybody actually made a "brake kit" for the OZ Lancer?
I feel like I need something more... My Aurora had 4 wheel disks, and I replaced the rotors AND pads once a year... I also autocrossed the car, just to learn a little about FWD handling, but still... It was rediculous how fast I burned those brakes off... I would sometimes get out of the car after a "spirited" drive through the mountains, and the left rear caliper would be smoking... Anyway, I just don't want to have to go through brakes in this car like I did in the other... I hope the difference in weight will help me out a little.
