New Lancer owner - stuff I'm dissapointed about

First off this isn't a lancer bashing thread. I freaking love my new car. However, there's some things I'm not very thrilled with. I knew most of this stuff going in because I had done my research, but it's still worth bringing up

Crappy Paint my car is black and seems to show every little scuff
Horrible front armrest positioning
Stock radio is virtually unreadable in sunlight
The rear wing can be a bit obstructive but it doesn't bother me much
I feel the RPM gauge should be on the left and the speedometer moved to the right side

The radio and wing at least, are things in your power to change fairly easily and without forking up loads of $$. Paint too depending on where you go and the kind of paint job desired

I bought it because I enjoy the way it drives. Most notable the way it handles and the smooth shifting of the CVT.

one of my lancers is black, you can't run away from the scuffing, black hide nothing...

What exactly is the point of this thread? If you just want to rant/complain, we can gladly move it to Off Topic. If you have technical or specific questions about the car, feel free to discuss them.

The complaints about the car being cheap/crappy - sure. You bought a cheaper car (well, relatively). As for not liking where the tach & wing are? *shrug* It's part of the package.

The purpose of this thread was to enlighten other potential lancer buyers of some issues that I personally have with my lancer. If this isn't the right place for that then so be it.

It's wonderful to be part of such a understanding and welcoming forum community

Either way, welcome to the forums!

Totally get where your coming from, but a lot of these forums are like this, don't understand why people got to ***** at you. I came from a jeep and everyone there always helped, best forums around. I was ready to sell my evo right after I got it, cause I thought all these guys were d bags. So hang in there

you guys are being retards...

i'm tempted to go register on a jeep forum now and complain the my new jeep's driver seat feels like a barbie car, and the steering rack feels like an empty bag of chips, and see what they say...lol, j/k

but seriously...relax, welcome to the board, and your thread was kind of pointless...not that your opinions aren't valid, it's just that most people here love and take pride in their cars, and probably don't care what you hate about it, but would be more than happy to offer suggestions on making it better...or even tell you first hand what mods/products they have installed, and their thoughts on it...

but i'm not sure what you can do for the cluster, i know for my model year we can swap Evo clusters, and they have the tacometer in the middle...black is the worst color...worse than white...most stock radios suck, and the wing is just there, take it off, or get one so big you can't see it in the back window! lol (don't do the last one ) you won't even notice it in a few months...

I understand. After thinking about it I see why it sounded like nit picking.

The cluster is the strangest thing. For some reason my eyes just ALWAYS gravitate to the RPM gauge when I go to check my speed.... I guess I'm right-brained
