Going for it!

Ok Guys heres the deal. I am buying an Evo 8 4G63T and will be starting the swap soon. I understand there have been many poeple asking what to do how to do and they get slammed from other memebers. I remember reading someone said just the wireing will make you quit well Iv done my share of Harness swaps on the car. I already had done the Tranny swap from auto to manual several years ago. This is not going to be my first round messing with the harness. Iv done my research and I know I can do it.

Any positive feed back would be appreciated

AWD or FWD? I was just pondering the other day how cool it would be to build an EVO 6-7 replica from a NT Lancer. Doubt I'll ever do it, but it would be fantastically cool. Good luck with your project, I hope it turns out well. I really hope you post here from time to time so we can see your progress.

Thanks Guys Im leaving in the morning after I leave work. I wish I didnt have to work lol but hey thats what is buying the motor right $$$$ lol. Its a 3 hour drive its the only one i found listed on a used car part website and it was also the cheapest! 1850 for the whole Engine Assembly so its a damn good deal only thing is they dont have an ECU and the guy said its an after market turbo setup so im scared of buying it not knowing what exactly was done to it and i cant get it tuned with the Evo ECU I do have. and I will be doing the FWD Evo engine conversion ill be using the 4G64 5 spd tranny out of the 01 Eclipes. I saw someone on SCLC.net had done the full AWD Evo 8 motor conversion and looked Sick! ONE DAY THOUGH! lol when I have the patience to do it.

Ok yea lol my bad Yea bro I give you props! Seriously. I tried getting on my old account on SCLC and it was deacitvated by the admins i think. But Im glad your here lol I need some lead from you bro if you dont mind helping!

Also I just got back from Passadena TX and well I looked at the motor and of course some one once again didnt know what exactly they had and yea they did post on the site they had a 4G63T with an after market setup. I went and looked at it and I had to inform the man that he did NOT have an Evo motor that it was the base model Lancer motor 4G94 with RRM's version 1 turbo kit with the Header. and they wanted 2 grand for it when I can pick up that exact motor for 200 bucks down the road from my house. SO IM ON THE SEARCH AGAIN FOR AN EVO MOTOR!

Yea it does but I was also thinking about getting the 2.4 L block and just buying an evo 8 head from someone or even buying an evo 8 block so I wouldnt have to worry about building the 2.4 L block for boost. IDK I guess its one of those things im gonna have to really search for you know!

Here are some sites to help your search

http://www.jspecauto.com/catalog_cat...spx?cat_id=110

http://www.sunrisejdmmotors.com/man_engines.php?id=2

http://www.jdmenginedepot.com/jdm_engines/Mitsubishi/

I hope it helps but looking at the prices the only thing you will get around $2000 is evo 6 or under.
Another cool engine setup would be a VR4 lancer that would be cool v6 turbo never seen one yet.

Good luck
