How many miles on your lancer??

New to the forum and I just picked up an 03 lancer oz. It has 168K miles on it and im just wondering how many more miles i can expect out of it. I bought it off a friend who bought it new. It has been maintained very well, runs and drives like new. Im just curious to see how many miles these 2.0's can run for.

Thanks guys!

Thats good to hear. Is there anything that i need to look out for? He said the timing belt was recently replaced but he is not a car guy so maybe it was just regular belts. How are the transmissions on these cars? Should i do a trans service?

167k on my 02 OZ. If timing belt was done just look out for your water pump which is around 70 to 80k and your fan control module which tend to die. Check your coolant, if that was never flushed you'd want to do that, if your brake fluid is brown change that, and your atf fluid should be cycled every 30k. If it's green /brown looking, it's time.

I forget who is at over 210k on their car. I'm approaching 190k in the next couple of weeks and turboed for about 30k but for some reason I have a feeling this year is the year it will go. My crank seal just started leaking but unfortunately I don't have a place to work on the car so I'm going to have to pay someone to fix it so waiting on tax return money.

and this is a well maintained car too.

About 120,000 on my 03 ES. I guess I am on the lower side of mileage compared ya'll. A little surprising as the car has made many many multi-thousand mile trips during its last 60,000 mile life (got it about 60,000). The car has been good to me with no major issues. Glad to see a I can hope for a lot more miles out of it

I just hit 180 off of a round trip that was about 4000 miles still running strong I'm still on the timing belt and water pump that came with the car only problem I have had is wheel bearing and halfshafts but I'm not what you would say easy on my car

My 2006 RA had about 100k when I sold it.

Currently, my 2011 GTS has 15k.
