evo catback

Is it possible to install a 8 3" SS catback on my lancer es?

Do not put a 3" exhaust on your car, it will be slower. Don't go more than 2.50" piping. 2.25" is ideal.

ya i would not go 3" that would be horrible, prob sound kind of bad too, but if thats what you into go for it, cant flame on you for what u like haha.

3" wouldnt be bad if it was turbo'd....

But would be possible at all for the evo's exhaust to fit on a lancer?

No.

A 3" may be too big regardless of if you're turbocharged because I'm not certain there's the room for clearance past the rear suspension and sway bar.

People with the Greddy 2.5" catback already have trouble with the pipes clanging against the sway bar, so I can only imagine the problems with 3", not to mention how useless such huge pipes would be on a car that probably will never see any more than 200 horses.

speaking of that...i have the evo catback(greddy) and when i go over speed bumps i hear it banging against the bumper and just recently found that it has melted the inside of the bumper...how can i get it not to move soo much?

does it have hangers on it to keep the muffler in place? if not take it to a shop and have them weld some on for like 5-10$ at most.

i think that should do it

anyone interested in buying a stock evo catback? it's just under 2.5".. maybe this would be the right diameter for you?
