i just got my OZ because i got it for the same price as an es 
my brother is a mechanic for mitsubishi and he got it for $100 over dealer cost 
i got the silver 5spd...looks awesome. i just turned 16 and this is my first car, i love it. just gotta hate those hills w/ the 5spd

what's wrong with the 5speed and hills? that's why I bought it, you can acutally drive sporty!
I bought mine because of the 5speed and the black interior, especially the seats. Couldn't stand the other seats, brrrrrrr.

personally..when me and my dad went car shopping..i didnt know a thing about cars. i just saw a yellow car sticking out of the showroom at the mitsu dealer one day and i said.."damn..thats nice"..so i went there a few weeks later and i looked around the lot..but i just had some smirk on my face everytime i saw the yellow lancer..then i got home and started learning about automotives and whatnot and saw most of the stuff i got with the oz was pretty cool. love at first sight i guess?
I was on the market for an RSX and the I couldn't get approved on it with a decent rate so I went for 0-0-0 deal at

That bright yellow turns heads, but... I dunno... the amount of people that have it make me glad I didn't get it. I mean, if this car's number one asset is it's relative uniqueness... then why make it unique exactly like everybody else?

As far as I know, I have the only yellow OZ in my area, I haven't seen another one. I have seen 1 red ES with a granmother hunched over the wheel but other than that I haven't seen any others.

Why the OZ? Well, i dont like to rub it in...but it was free after all...won at work in a contest....unfortanetlyit was January and the only OZ available in a 300 mile area was a white Auto...kinda sux having auto but I didnt want that wood grain trim...blehh I test drove the OZ and that was all it took, Everyone was trying to get me to buy a civic or a Sunfire...but im glad i didnt. in the last month i out ran 2 civics a del sol and a sunfire...heh heh...they either are weak cars compared to the lancer or they didnt know how to drive. ^_^ I hope a motor swap aswell as a tranny swap are available in a year or two...ya never know.

About the lack of yellow... just search the registry under OZ... see how many are yellow. Serious. In my area, there more and more Lancers every day. And 4 out of 5 are OZs. out of those 4, 3 are usually yellow.
Tranny/engine swap... hope so, but... the cynical side of me says doubt it.

I'm not saying there is a lack of yellow lancers in the world... just where I live there's none. I would say that yellow is probably the most picked color by buyers

I have only seen the red ES with the gandma driver only once....not sure if it lives around here, maybe just passing through town. It's cool though, the less lancer's in my area, the more unique my car is

That's all good... I still get prime attention at my local performance area... go in, say, hey looking for Lancer stuff... usually get ooos and stuff. Don't know why. I guess they respect a guy who likes a challenge getting parts.
i pick lancer cuz i dont like to drive cars that lots of ppl have..like toyota's and hondas...or stupid american made...so i picke this lancer...
and why i go for OZ...ha..for the cluster gauge, and stock bodykit(save me some money on paint job and get it costum made). the spoiler....the rims..altho im thinking getting it exchange..but...at least i wont be running on hubcabs in 2 years till i got my money
but i think the insurance on OZ is a little bit expensive than ES,LS..its like 20 bucks extra for 6 month
