Question 02 Lancer Aftermarket?

I test drove a 2002 Lancer OZ rally today and I really liked it. Only problem is I want it to be faster. What is the aftermarket support for the car as far as intakes, headers, exhausts, chips, or even turbos? Any and all info is greatly appreciated! Thanks guys!

For now just faster on the highway and stuff. Also any aftermarket websites that carry Lancer stuff would be cool if you know any. I'm looking first for intakes and exhausts. Then next would be header and then hopefully a chip. Thanks for your help. I only have a 28.8 modem so surfing for this stuff is a pain in the ***!

I hope to be selling a few items for the 2002 US Lancer soon.
I am hoping to have an intake to sell soon.
In the future I will have other items, such as a bodykit perhaps, and other dress-up and performance items.
I am not sure when the first products will be available, but it will likely be at least a month if not more.

Thumbs up

I'm totally interested with buying whatever u got for the Lancer 02 whenever u come up with anything. And yes, the Lancer DOES need a couple more power boosts. Hit me up if u have more info on the parts.

You can get your car chipped by the mitsubishi dealer, they offered me the service, also stating that it wont void warranty. Other than that the only parts available are all universal fits, like upgraded stereo, foglights, neon light kits, etc. nothing serious yet. Did you test drive the stick or auto???

I test drove a nice yellow oz rally 5 speed. The dealer also did a nice custom leather package on the car with black and yellow seats. The shifter is really nice but a shorter throw would be nice. Can you tell me more about the dealer installed chip? Thanks.

Does anyone with a 2002 Lancer (any model) live near Pomona, CA?
If so would you be willing to use your car as R&D for an Injen Intake?

Please let me know.

If someone can find out what size headlight lamp is used, I can get some PIAA super plasma (blue) headlamps. I will try to find out the size tonight and get a price.
I will also check on this supposed dealer chip option.

I don't know much about the chip, I just know the dealer will do it, I don't know how much HP it will boost you or a cost, if anyone finds out please let me know. And the PIAA lights, fill me in on that too.

I am assuming that you mean parts from Japanese Lancer Evo, right? I mean, it's not very cost effective to get base model Lancer parts all the way from Japan.

However, Since the Evo is much different than the base Lancer, you might only be able to use some cosmetic part (body kit, accesories...) or suspension parts...Engine, tranny & brake are different on them...

Just keep that in mind what you are getting your parts...
