Supras hating on Mitsus
ummmm i think ur being a magazine racer.... cuz i have 2 friends that can both drive pretty well... and they are both 97 stock supra tt except one is auto and the other is stick... the stick always burns the auto... and driving an auto isnt too hard... all u have to do is floor it....
I agree with the every car can take out every car with the right $$$, but truthfully, a RWD car will always beat an awd, given they are modded the same...not necessarily off the line, or a 1/4 mile or a 1/2 mile, but in the long run, yes a rwd will win.
I agree with hooby though, i want the evo for one of many reasons, but this reason, being, just to **** off the people who think, oh i drive a vette, a camaro, no one can beat me.

RWD do not always win. In the british touring car championships the Audi A4 quattro entered and won hands down every time, so much so that they had to put excess weight on the car to make the races fare. 4 wd can carry more speed through the corners and in the rain they rule, there was even a time whe F1 cars were 4 wd until the banned it.
I am not saying all 4wd are better than all rwd's but only that in the long run 2wds do not always win.

I didn't say rwd will beat a car on the twistys. I meant that in a straight away, not coming off a turn, not in the rain, perhaps, to top speed, or even just on a straightaway, a rwd car, in the long run(taking it to the technical meaning) and modded the same will win, becuase it doesn't create all that friction a 4wd car does. If im wrong, im wrong.

Hmm...seems like the peeps down at supraforums shut down the thread and deleted it...I guess they learnt better.
Not sure if it I'm wrong. but I believe 3KGT was the fastest 1/4mile super car from Japan, short of ofcourse the evo. But like the 3L V6TT cars. It's pretty fast.

dood omg **** supras lol i dont know why people brag about owning one. just about anyone could afford an old and abused supra. hey look at me im cool cuz i bought this decade old supra for 16 grand that has 100k miles lol
Watch A Getaway In Stockholm 2 nuff said about Supra's. They dont have the accl to get through the gears as quick as other cars I.E. Rally cars, etc.: Inthat movie the two carshave 450 horses and it was wet when they made that movie
OK guys, here's the deal. yeah with enough money and the right tuner anything can be faster than anything else, it really comes down to drivers.
I have a 2001 yamaha R6, not the fastest bike in the world but it has run 10.75 in all the U.S. mags and 11.2 with me on top. I am obviously using either a different technique than the magazine guy or maybe i just weigh more, or any number of variables could account for me being a half a second slower. So instead of all this goofy computer pissing contest crap, go out and drive your car and prove it!! All this bench racing gets old, like the talking before a boxing match (tyson-lewis), the guy who talks and can't back it up ends up looking like an ***, so just go out and show everybody what you're made of.
I also have a friend with a '99 Integra GSR that actually ran 11.5's on slicks one weekend, he was knocked out in the last run of the day by a tt supra, but he smoked a bunch of RX-7's and stuff, he isn't turboed or nitroused, he is just a damn good driver, i would never have believed him if i wasn't at the track when it happened.

For the vast majority of modded Supra TT, they can hit 12 secs on average all day long.
Locally, the great majority of DSM'ers run their car in the high 13 sec . . . low 14's if weather gets extremely hot. Also, their AWD tranny just don't hold up, just inconsistant. Basically, a love-hate relationship. Once, I have seen a mid 12 sec DSM, but the weather was cold in the 70's . . . when track warmed to 85, he started to pull the low 13's.
Yes, it has been long believed that there are few auto Supra's running in the 10 sec.
As for the VR4, not many people mod those very heavy cars.
