Question for all my brothers who have an 02 and 03 lancer!

What height does the lancer come stock ? I'm kinda thinking that the previous owner may have lowered the car I'm not sure. My 2002 lancer already sits lower than my friends rsx at his stock height .

I can fit my shoe under the front fender but not the back .

Btw I have springs with a 1.5 drop sitting in my garage but if it's already lowered I'll just sell them backk ??

Our Lancers are supposed to be about 4.9inches off the ground according to edmunds.com. I'm assuming this measurement is from ground to sub frame. However keep in mind that worn suspension can make the car appear to be somewhat lowered & the fact that you already have bigger wheels/tires means that you may have already eliminated some wheel gap. On another note our cars have a bit of reverse rake stance going on so that could also be what you're experiencing.

Other than what I have mentioned, the only way to know for sure is to get under there!

Thanks for the info . Cause I was hoping I didn't buy my springs for nothing! I just have to figure out how to get my struts off because the front struts don't want to come off.
When I try to unscrew the front stuts from the engine bay they don't budge I tried a lot of stuff to get it off etc . The only thing I didn't try yet is pb blaster .
And when I try to take the struts off the from the brake those bolts don't budge either .

(Don't have an impact gun either)

So does anyone have suggestions ?

Your on thw right track with the PB blaster. If that doesn't do the trick, I'm assuming you're using a small socket wrench now, go buy a good breaker bar at least 1.5 feet long. Your two best friends when it comes to taking off rusty bolts
