I came across this turbo on ebay, looks legit. Just wondering what you guys think. Too good to be true?

FULL OF ****. No way someone can put a turbo on a Lancer with no internals and get it to 400-500hp. For the $450 the kit is going for, it would be worth it to buy it and fix/replace the ****ty parts. I don't know tho, I sense some kind of con...with the "$50 bucks to you if it doesn't arrive on time" thing. Just beware of things you get off ebay.

Yeah I aint buying it, but I was just curious as to what other turbo literate guys thought of this kit. I'm sure the gains are no way 400-500hp, but I guess I was asking at such a low price would a 100-150hp gain be possible/realistic with this kit?, and if it is such a gain, wouldnt it be a semi good deal at that price?

Looks like a real kit though.
If you go through what he has bought off ebay, it is all real and all the stuff he needs.

I think he got the 450-500 hp number from the T4 turbo he bought...(claims to boost to 450hp no matter what combo)

Look at what he has bought, sold, and his rating. It is pretty damn real.

But i really dont know ebay stuff.

 

I have no problem buying off of ebay, you could usually sniff a con a mile away. And this one looks legit.......but the gains is what bugs me out.

 

I think its like what kkslider said thats what the turbo can handle

im just gonna get a t25, starion intercooler, vortech fmu and 2g fuel pump, and a bov and internal wastegate and ur set. u can get all that on ebay or dsmtrader.com

 

What kinds of gains can you get fron the setup you mentioned above?

 

well, with that exact setup i can boost 5-6 psi no sweat. maybe 7psi depends on fuel...

but with just bigger injectors, rising rate fpr, the 2g walbro fuel pump and s-afc i could probably boost 9 psi....than forged pistons and rods i could do 11psi maybe.....this is all what i 'think' from what i've heard around on the forums.

what i mentioned is the rrm stage 1(except i added an intercooler...and i think the rrm stage 1 comes with the 2g walbro fuel pump??)

but with the fmu/2g pump and stuff id say i can hit 150-160whp...as i have an auto....one guy hit 170whp with the non-IC kit from RRM...so i'd say with the smaller turbo and not the fuel pump i wont hit that high...but if i got the walbro pump i could probably hit 170 since i have the intercooler if not more

 

man thats a good price for a turbo. he must have jacked a lot of car parts to start that buisness. but i might buy one if he is still around in 2-3 months. hopefully someone buys one before i do, so i can get reviews on it.

OMG... Are they serious, bc if they are then I myte just buy that it will do a lot more than a SD for my OZ lancer.
