Help! Stalling!
Alright, as I posted in another post, I just installed my RRM PB Ecu today. Did all the precautions and stuff like letting idle and stuff. Ran good. Then after everything, I stopped off and turned the car off. Went to turn it on, came on and stalled right out. Did it again and it came on. So I just left thinking maybe it just had a problem that time. It doesn't stall any during driving or idling. I haven't really got any RPM change except for the first time is came on for like a second and a few times just slowing down like at 1000 rpm it would shoot up to 2000 then back down. Did that a few times.
Alright now the fun begins
. After going out to a few places, everytime I go to start up my car it stalls out. After it stalls out, if I quickly turn the keep back and the restart it it will start up. A few times though, took me about 4 tries to get it started. Just wondering if anyone knows what's up.
Everything as I know is hooked up right, double checked all wires and connections. Do you think it oculd be the begging process of cautious driving for a while. I did for 20 minutes like RRM's instructions says, and I didn't take it over 3500 rpms. After 20 minutes I shut it off without gunning it or driving hard. Should I have driven it hard before turning it off the first time or what?
If I have to redo the idling process and stuff, could I just disconnect the battery and plug it back in and everything is reset and I can go through the process again, that's what I might do.

id try resetting the ecu (unplug neg battery term for 20 mins) and let the car idle again and see how it goes. because your in FL i dont assume the "cold" would affect it .. may wanna give RRM a ring in the morning.

Nope just a little chilly here, maybe 60's.
I will try again on Friday, since that's my next day off, hopefully my car gets me through tomorrow. Heh.
Is 20 minutes enough for this thing to learn the program? I see some people driving for like 50+ miles before they hard drive it. I think in the 20 minutes of driving it I did 15 miles? Maybe.. but not 50.

Anyways on topic..
May just want to drive around for a while if you can.. like 20 miles or so.. if you are doing exactly what it says then i'd give RRM a call.

Undo the battery connection and try again. Make sure that the vacuum line is not kinked or pinched as well. Don't touch the gas while idling. If you got a nice stereo leave it off while starting it up and letting it idle. Then just go out and drive around a bit, to see what happens at idle. Then go back home and shut it off. Wait a bit, couple mins, try to start it back up. Go drive your 50 or so miles in town, not highway, you want it to pick up all the gear changes and style that you drive normally.
Remember when you put another mod on after this and you disconnect the battery, you gotta go through this process all over again.
Oh and make sure you got premium in the tank, 91 or better.

what jozilla said, If you have a aftermarket stereo, shut it off b4 starting.
I had the same problem. dont worry if you hooked it up correctly, everything will come into play.
Make sure you got some 91 or 93 octane gas in there.

Been running 93 week ahead to make sure only 93 was in there. That's all good. Connections and hoses all checked.
Well today has been a better day so far. Started it 2 times today once before school and once leaving school. No stalls. So that's good. No bad idling either, everything is working good it seems.
Only thing is now I have to disconnect it and solder the wires, I will be doing that tomorrow. So it's better to just do a test run real quick, come home, shut it off, turn back on, then go for like a 50 mile drive?
Or do the 50 mile drive right after 10 minute idle?
I ask because in the directions it says do the drive without trying to stall or anything so the learning process is not interrupted, so wouldn't shutting the car off interupt the learning process?

Alright, after driving around for a while tonight. It seems it only DOESN'T stall when the car is cold and hasn't been running for a while. If I drive it for a while stop, turn the car off, then try to turn it right back on it'll stall.
So does the car being cold have something to do with the PB?

Anyone from RRM know what's wrong.
All my connections are good, I feel the speed increase and everything is, fine, just stalls on startup (when car's hot).

Alright, I have another problem now. :/
Are you suppose to run the car when you first turn it on with the PB with the A/C on? Has anyone even tried it witht he A/C on?
I haven't and today was the first day I turned my A/C on and it almost stalls out everytime I stop. Is this something wrong or what?
