ill tell you how i removed my middle seat belt. i hit it with a hammer until it fell out. no word of a lie.

EDIT: but honestly, i tried to do it the sane-minded way by removing all the trim and whatnot. it doesnt matter. you could strip the car down to the atoms it's comprised of and that middle seatbelt still isnt going anywhere. which is why i had to bash it with a hammer.

i took my lid out, and you just leave that middle belt in but slide the lid down the belt (does this make sense?)and out of your way. I put some sound deadening material under mine and it helped but did not eliminate the rattle. I think the problem is the openings in the metal under the deck lid, they sort of act as ports for the bass from the trunk, and push up and rattle the lid. I am considering closing those openings with some brown-bread-sounds-dead unless anyone knows of a reason not to do this.

Ok, lemme make this clear. The top of my sub box is within millimeters of that white holster for the middle seat belt. Occasionally when the bass hits hard the white holster rattles like all hell. I tested that by actually holding it and seeing if the rattle goes away and it does. That's why i want to remove it. I gotta remove the rear deck lid to access the screws holding the holster in place. (im removing the middle seat belt altogether).
