Hey Guys, Quick question on my 03 oz rally is there one or two cats on it ?
i have heard that they're one on the bottom and one under the heat shield. i live in new mexico
so i would like to put a header on just want to make sure if there is one there it is ok to eliminate that one.

 

There are 2 cats. One on the header and one just after the post cat o2 sensor.

If you put in headers, I think you might have to eliminate both else you wouldn't have space. You'll get a CEL for the missing cat in the header.

 

theirs one built into header (~$500 - 600 part , that's carb exempt. ss by magnaflow and is what I have on my car ), 2nd one is main cat that's near the o2 sensor...
out of 11 years of owning my car that's 15+ years old, 16 in aug, I had to replace that header/cat unit cause it was throwing a cel so I bought the ss magnaflow one...

Did you buy this cat/header combo straight from the website? Would love a link if you still happen to have it. Without throwing an engine code is it possible to delete the second cat at all possible? I would imagine the car would gain quite a bit of pep without it.
