yeah i know the muffler wont do anything but make it loud. . . but i know the cat is a type of restrictor for pollution and all that other stuff so by removing it would there be more air flow out of the exhaust pipes. (Sorry to ***** up the thread)

 

Yep but if you dont have any intake mods youll lose all your backpressure and then your car is slower.

 

what do you mean by intake mods. i have a SRI and thats all. Would i need to go down pipe and all before taking out the cat. The reason i ask is cuz im buying a fireball carbon fiber muffler something or other this week. And all i have done to the engine is a shirt ram. I dont have the money to do full exhaust yet but im getting a hell of a deal on the muffler. So i would need a full exhasut before i took off the cat? thanks
