Russell Speed Bleeders
Russell Speed Bleeders
Just a quick question. I want to get a set of the Russell Speed Bleeders for my Lancer and they don't have the part number up on their web site. I'm wondering if anyone on the forum knows which I need to buy, or if/what other
car shares the same bleeder as the Lancer?

A bleeder is a small valve attached to your brake caliper. It is used to "bleed" the brake fluid out of the brake system when you replace your fluid. If you look at your caliper you'll notice a small nub sticking out of it, usually with a rubber cover over it. That's the brake bleeder valve.
A speed bleeder is a replacement for this valve, it's spring loaded, and just helps with bleeding the brake fluid.
If you check out the first picture in this thread, you can see the bleeder sticking out right below where the brake line meets the caliper.
