I own an 03 oz and am currently trying to track down exhaust stuff. I have an srs catback about to ship but I would like to know if anyone has deleted their flex pipe and how that worked out. If so how'd you go about it? Aftermarket 4-2-1 header and downpipe. Tired of the damn flex pipe portion lol. It's got a small pinhole. Also has anyone got a good source for headers and downpipes to go with it? Also another question, test pipes... Anybody got an idea of the exact angle the cat flanges are supposed to be turned?

 

Is there a flange on each side of the flex pipe? If not, you could cut it out and then weld in a new piece or use couplers. However, the flex pipe helps absorb some of the vibrations and movement of the exhaust and it may keep things a little quieter.

As for the pin hole, you could always wrap it in some exhaust tape. That will mostly seal it.

Ebay has some stuff. Search the marketplace as well. Your local auto parts store will probably have a universal flex pipe that you could use.
