gas pedal rubber stop
Okay, I did a search on this and only came back with one post but it did not give me a straight answer. So, this weekend as I was cleaning out my car I got down under the dash to vaccum and noticed a rubber cylinder behind my gas pedal. Is it okay to remove this? Will I help things or will I just **** my **** up?
it's there to stop the pedal from mashing into the carpet. I would keep it there if I were u. It might also serve to keep u from pulling the throttle cable too much (Pressing the gas pedal all the way to the floor).

it doesnt even get in the way of the pedal. i was messin around with it the other day. the only way you hit it is if you push the pedal hard enough to kinda bend it. other than that, it never really touches it.
