about to order magnaflow catback

i'm about to order the magnaflow catback from performance peddler, but to be honest i'm a bit scared.

is everything bolt off and bolt on? i want to be sure i don't have to cut or weld anything. how hard is it to install myself with some jack stands? any tips or instructions?

the one from RRM it bolt on, bolt off....very easy to install I would say heat the car up a bit, but not to much and have a can of WD-40 on stand-by just in case a bolt gives you trouble...

well as a Magnaflow employee all of our catback systems that we offer are complete bolt on systems. No welding, no cutting, no nothing. All you simply have to do is unbolt your stock system, which i believe is 4 bolts...pull the system out and rebolt the new system back up. Make sure you mock everything up under the car first before totally tightening everything down. Make sure everything is lined up, straighen the tip in the whole and make sure there arent any rattles. After that tighten everything down and you are done. Simple and one of the best sounding and performing kits out there....if not THE BEST!

You should get the Greddy exhaust on RRM///. It is a little more expensive but worth the cost and looks better. I have had mine for 3 months and have not had melting... Just a thought....

I bought the Magnaflow Cat Back from Performance Peddler for my girls Lancer. Straight Bolt On. And GREAT Customer Service from Performance Peddler. Got it for $305 shipped (got it in 2 days). Definitely worth the price. Sounds good too. But, personally for my Lancer I have the Greddy.

i got the magnaflow cause i needed a quality system and a good price. I love the quiet sound and increased performance.

For my money, there is no other way to go.

honestly, i can't justify spending the extra money on the greddy. people say the magnaflow is nice and quiet, so that is good enough for me. i doubt the greddy would yield better performance.

what do you mean the greddy looks better? its a frickin' polished pipe. how can it look better?

some people just like the folgers coffee can look.

hahah j/p

some people like the round canister vs the oval. me the magnaflow looks closer to stock and less like a fart can. and around here in so cal that makes a big difference with the cops.

Question

I'm in a bind here. I was debating on getting better exhaust system than my factory one on my 2004 OZ w/ auto trans. The only mods I currrently have is an Injen SRI.
What would I really want to buy to improve my car for the money. I don't want to spend big money, only what I need where it would make a signifigant difference in my car's performance.
Looking at what RRM has to offer, do I want..
1. A Magna Flow Cat back exhaust?
2. A RRM Magna Flow NON-Cat back exhaust?
3. A GReddy exhaust?
4. Any other brand exhaust?
5. Do I want the RRM high flow cat-Testpipe?

As long as all thius stuff is do-it yourself installations without the need for special tools, welding, etc , the better for me.

i would recommend you get the magna flow cat back.

it is the most bang for your buck. also the test pipe is nice, but makes it louder than some people like.

i have it and love it, but LOOK AROUND FOR BETTER PRICING! i got mine off ebay for like 240 shipped, and i'm sure you can find it much cheaper than 320.

install is a breeze, just be prepared to really fight a few of the bolts (*tip* use a very long handled wrench or put a pipe on the end for extra torque). as far as fit and finish goes, its freaking awesome. perfect spacing from my bumper and a nice deep sound.

magnaflow all the way!

1. yes
2. NO NO NO. pricey and fitment issues (i have seen first hand)
3. they are good too, but usually a bit more expensive
4. i'd say greddy and magnaflow are your best bets, that or dcsports if you can find a deal on their dual canister.
5. if you like it loud, yes. if you want to avoid too much attention, no.

1) i have heard good tyhings about
2) have heard nothing about
3) have heard nothing but good things about but like stated earlier cost is a little more
4) i heard dc was good but hell of alot more than greddy
5) no...you dont want one...if you only have an sri then you dont need a test pipe...it will open up too much air and you will loose on low end
