thanks for hte pic doug. i hope thats flexible tubing bc if htat was welded i thnk that would be way too much work for the result. i dont think youd have to worry about water intake when washing your car unless you wash your car while it is running. also many ppl have hte scoops/ducts and i havent heard of anybody getting hydrolocked from rain on here. the only stories ive heard have been from cais that went througha puddle. maybe i should put my splashgaurds back on but i still dont have those black plugs and i dont feel like putting the "puzzle" back together.

Dude, a funnel and some dryer hose would be much easier for me... and probably cheaper.

EDIT - Weapon R charges 52 freaking dollars. F--- that.

To be honest, I don't think so. It's usually black, which helps. I'm thinking of running it from the CAI spot in the fender behind the battery to blow directly on the 'top' of the cone (instead of the side, like Urb's). It will barely be visible, and will take up virtually no room. The hardest part will just be picking the funnel.

For $52 plus shipping... I'll stick with dryer hose. Or maybe even something nicer. But I WILL NOT pay that absurd price.

and if you start with dry hose... where does it end? soon you'll be getting seat and steering wheel covers from walmart, firefly valve caps, nos stickers when you don't have any...

and lets not forget who pioneered the dryer hose in the lancer, the dude with the stinkmobile, which we all know turned into TOTAL TRASH RICE!

for the price of an injen SRI, i would have just avoided the hole thing, shelled out a few more clams and gone CAI.

yeah, 52 bucks sounds expensive, but that's their msrp. i'd bet you can find it for about 30 somewhere, and at least it comes with a cool scoop mount and black hose.
