Es, Ls, Oz

AOk, new to the Lancer, what does ES, LS and OZ stand for ? I'am happy at least they have the same designation in the US and Canada as compared to the Honda Civic.

Someone told me some actually words for them, not sure if it's accurate or not. LS and LX usually mean luxury model, I don't remember what ES, DS, DX, or GL stand for, GS stands for grand sport, GT stands for grand tourismo (or grand touring), RS stands for rally sport, SS stands for super sport, and SE stands for special edition

Economy sedan? Makes sense.

Forgot to mention, OZ stands for the rims they put on their "special" lancer, even though the rims are actually made by Enkei

The ES isn't any slower than the LS or OZ so that doesn't even make any sense. And it's faster than other cars in its class...

Actually, it's slower than the OZ in cornering since it doesn't have a rear sway bar. That's gotta be worth at least 0.2 seconds on an autocross course!!!
