edited in light of new info.

If you go to the RRM website, you'll notice that they're pretty good about noting what parts don't fir the ES. If you look at the tein suspensions, for the SS kit, they don't mention it not fitting a certain vehicle, and if you look at the basic dampers they DO mention that this kit will fit the OZ, ES and LS.

yep those are the parts i need, apparently the OZ has a bigger bearing then the ES and yes, i sent numerous Emails to RRM asking them if the kits fit the ES months ago, all the responces i got from them said "yes, it'll fit" then i go to install, apparently due to the fact that the ES's bearing beings smaller the spring perch would jiggle like crazy and eventually break, and when i called RRM to ask them about this the calls went like this.

Call 1: talked to gabriel and told me "yes, you do need the parts from the OZ"
Call 2: talked to rob this time, i asked if they had any at their shop he said no, and he also told me "you should have done your research" gee, thought i did, guess im wacky like that

Oh, and heres my proof i asked haha:

Please do not blame us for this. You did not even buy them from us. They do fit. There is some mods needed though. Kinda like telling a chick, " I promise I will not get you pregnant....." When we are naked I will tell her how I am going to implement the birth control." Understand ? So everyone is right.

Earlier in this thread petey pab mentioned you could get the strut mounts for around 40 bucks a piece, and I actually PMed him about this to find out if it was the sportline strut mounts I needed to get, because I plan to get the Tien SS as well, and he told me those were the ones to get. So I found some for about the same price he said at www.mitsubishiparts.com. Just look through the oem catalog and you should find them. Also petey pab said you could just get the strut bearings from the dealership for only 13 for both. So I'd say that's your best bet. Little bit cheaper than $160 ^___^

How do the mounts need to be modified? This "will they fit" question has been persisting for several months now and if there's a definitive answer, I'd like to be able to put the issue to rest.

I know of at least two people who are scared to buy either kit because they own ESs and are being told that they have to have the OZ spring perch (which I know is wrong) and now it's just an issue of modifying something to do with the ES upper mount. . . . . . share the love! I won't get you pregnant, promise

Was it Rhyzin that first put the SS kit on the ES? Might want to PM him, as I believe he knew how to do it with little trouble.

all you need to buy is the OZ UPPER STRUT MOUNT and the OZ UPPER STRUT BEARING. thats it. like the other dude said, i picked the mounts up from a similar site to the one he posted for like $39.95. and i got the bearings from my closest dealer for $13. i would have bought them both from that site, but i had already purchased the bearings before i knew of the site. and if youre going to order them from the site, make sure you CALL them as they tend to ignore online orders. http://www.mitsubishiparts.com/default.php look for the link to the online OEM catalog.

welp, parts are on the way from www.mitsubishiparts.com, heres an interesting fact for you guys though, apparently inorder to get the price as liste on the site, you have to buy from the site itself, i tried to call it in and the guy wanted to sell me the upper strut mounts for 60 something as apposed to the 40 listed on the site and told me i could only get the deal through the website

and oddly enough im still trying to figure out why not buying my kit from roadrace had anything to do with the fact that it didnt fit as rock seemed to suggest and failed to respond to, gee golly wiz im a jerk haha

despite all the crap, what can i say, im still excited as hell
