1st and 2nd power

Get rid of your CAI. Sure the Cold air intake (baseing info on AEM) gives you the most maximum hp increase (8.4 I believe) but at lower RPM it loses power, you are actually less then stock. So what if it peeks a 3500RPM. Thats the only point where it is ahead of a SRI. If you look at the dyno sheet for the Typhoon system for K&N it is only a 4.6hp increase(or something close to that) but it is a constant increase from 1000RPM right to 6000RPM the amount changes a little bit but you will never loose more then stock. If you still want the advantages that a CAI provides use the stock intake pipe that goes from behind hte grill to the intake box (most people do) and build a custom heat sheild simular to RMR's SRI that will have a whole that allows the pipe to go to.
I have had the AEM CAI and sold it. Once I got rid of it I gained back my low end power. Iam buying a Typhoon SRI next week. I will let you know how much better it is.

on the very unrealistic side of things, if you had incredible powers of persuasion and a lot of money, you might be able to coax RMR into getting you their one-off 1st/3rd transmission gear that gives a longer 1st gear
just a sign that something of this sort actually exists.

i think ill try changing my cold air to short ram.i was thinking adout cam gears and shaft will that really help.and i thought intake mani and throttle body only help with throttle body response?or is that what i need?
???
AEM give very nice HP gain from 3500rpm. excully from 3000rpm is already higher than the stock. So during daily normal drive you migh feel power less at the 1st. But if you want to speed up..can always use High RPM start. I think it's not necessary to give up CAI...the more you mod. the slower you will feel at the 1st lower rpm.
I disagree with this notion about the cai. Terrible1 I think you need to get some exhaust work done if you want to see the benefits of what you have done. My guess is that the intake and header are helping the car breath much better but the stock exhaust from the cat back is choking your power. Get a cat back, axle back or at worst weld on a performance muffler. I think you will see more gains down low.

I agree with Ghostrider (why isn't he an EvoM Guru yet?), I noticed you don't have an intake manifold or throttle body yet. That will increase the low end a bit, and maybe an SRI instead of a CAI, but as Rhyzin and Hobie were referring to, the gains from those mods are peanuts and you probably will hardly feel much difference. I personally think 1st gear pulls pretty well, but then again I'm not drag racing it.
yeah 1st is pretty good, it is second that feels slow its like i just watch it and wait for the redline it seems like it takes longer to get there(than 1st and 3rd) ,i plan on getting cat back for my next mod but i still want other stuff for low end, so you guys suggest intake mani, thorttle body and anything else
