8 psi and a perfect fuel system should put you right next to the maxima

Or maybe just a few "k"s.

Running an auto he's going to have a huge advantage over you because of the difference in displacement and therefore torque as well. His powerband will be a lot meatier and yours well...it won't be because your car will tend to shift in the best part of your powerband (though I don't know exactly how the adaptive transmission might change that). You're asking a good bit to keep up with a fairly high output NA 6 like that...much less beat it.

If it's the 255 HP Maxima SE we all know and love, I'd say the Lancer is in trouble. The auto tranny isn't going to hold 8 PSI of boost safely. 6 is the hypothesized magic number for boost on autos.

Does your friend realize he spent nearly doulbe on his max over your car? I'd just laugh when I showed him my car payment next to his.

Yeah, but they get what they pay for...power, styling and a good bit of luxury.

I'd write this off as a loss unless you get your tranny beefed up to handle heavier boost. Otherwise you'll be lookin' at those semi-narsty tails for the handful of seconds that count.

3.5 maxima is so dope, altima is doper imo, lancer is probably lunch if you don't have differential, 8 psi, lightweight wheels and gripp tires
