Question FRUSTERATED..short shifter

I dont know sh** about installing anything in my car. I have never done any sort of car work, installation. I dont know why I need or dont' need bushings.I don't have grease. Do i buy grease? I broke the latches that connect my center consule to my shifting consule. I don't know how to get the shift consul off. I unscrewed all the screws i saw and it wouldn't budge. I searched. and i found some instalation instruction but i can't even get to the part where i remove the short shifter. please help

The way I removed my console was to unscrew the plastic screws toward the front of the car then I unscrewed all of the other conventional screws, I remember there was one in the center console cubby hole thing and one under the ash tray. Look there... I think there might be a way to just take off the top of the console but I just took the whole thing out.

You can but don't have to unsnap the wireing to the cig liter, I didn't.

As for install it is pretty straight forward. Just follow the provided instructions or one of the install guides on this site (the B&M install is the same install instructions for the all lancer models and all short shifters.)

But lithium grease at your local auto parts store. It's costs a buck fifty where I'm at. And just take your time.... try not to get mad at your car. Your car loves you.
