the tape i guess will work...how well i dont know........

put double stick tape i guess on the black thingy.....see if when u put on the shift nob if it doesnt budge.......im running low on ideas...

I can't ask that guy.. I dont know what company he was from.. but thanks for ur ideas!! I'll try the teflon tape thing and see what happens!

u can always jsut wrap it a bunch of times with duct tape.

lol, but really there was a install on here for a shift knob like 8-9 months ago and that person used 2 of the black things, he put one over the other or something. idk where it got to though. oh well anyway w/ the duct tape yeah (please dont)lol

I got the shift knob installed! it looks great! Now I understood why the guy said to put teflon tape around the cylinders, because without it, it just wiggles around.
